DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Municipal Courts currently has full-time employment opportunities available for Customer Service Representatives in their Court Operations Division who are self-motivated, customer service oriented, pay attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills. As an official of the Court, your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Quality Control checking of case data and scanned documents, taking appropriate action to make sure information is correct and complete.

  • High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement.

  • Data entry of incoming citations.

  • Scanning of court documents into Court’s Case Management System

  • Must be willing to submit to annual background checks.

  • Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

General office setting. May require long periods of standing or sitting at a computer terminal and interacting with citizens in person and also by telephone

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Six (6) months of administrative or customer service-related experience is required.

Substitution:

An associate’s degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.

PREFERENCES

Preferences will be given to candidates with heavy customer service experience; prior court, legal or paralegal experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures is a plus. Experience in Windows and Microsoft office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook)
