Description We are on the search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to be a part of our team in the transport industry, based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with diligently handling and processing customer credit applications, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving any inquiries. You will be instrumental in monitoring customer accounts and implementing appropriate actions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Handle high-volume data entry tasks related to customer credit applications

• Ensure accurate maintenance of customer credit records

• Perform account reconciliations and address any account discrepancies

• Adapt to price and PO changes, and take necessary action accordingly

• Process payments via check or ACH

• Utilize Excel formulas for exporting relevant data

• Manage 3-way matching tasks, including matching batch coding and backup paperwork

• Conduct in-depth research to resolve any discrepancies in the accounts payable process. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.

• Expertise in the 3 Way Matching process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing.

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation tasks to align financial records and identify any discrepancies.

• Experience in identifying and resolving Account Discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas for financial computations and data analysis.

• Relevant experience in the Transport industry is preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
