Robert Half Assistant Controller in Horsham, Pennsylvania

Description

We are in need of an Assistant Controller to join our team in the Real Estate and Construction industry based in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. This role will encompass a variety of financial and managerial responsibilities, focusing on the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgeting and forecasting models to support financial planning and decision-making

• Implement and manage standard costing and job costing systems

• Budget for jobs in progress to ensure accurate project costing and financial tracking

• Perform and oversee account reconciliations and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records

• Oversee inventory management processes to ensure accurate reporting and control of inventory levels

• Manage and control accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances

• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities

• Utilize ERP Solutions, specifically MS Great Plains Solomon, for efficient workflow and data management

• Apply knowledge in Auditing, Budget Processes, Month End Close, Budgeting - Forecasting, Annual Inventory, and Standard Costing

• Manage WIP - Work In Progress effectively and efficiently

• Use knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR) to optimize company cash flow.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate & Construction or manufacturing industry

• Proven expertise in ERP Solutions

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in auditing and budget processes

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures

• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Experience in annual inventory management

• Knowledge of standard costing procedures

• Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress procedures

• Proficiency in MS Great Plains Solomon software
