Description
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the Admissions Counselor performs a wide range of assessment/intake-related duties. Maintain significant contact with public and private agencies. Represents Addiction Treatment Services in efforts to promote public awareness of the agency's programs and substance abuse related issues. Responsible for performing comprehensive assessments, coordinating with referring agencies and admitting clients into the ATS treatment continuum.
Masters Degree in Human Services or related. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, maturity, insight, and sound judgment. Must demonstrate measurable progress in obtaining CSAC within 2 years of hire. Experience in identification and evaluation of substance use disorders. Knowledge of social/cultural/economic factors on Oahu, and have demonstrated skills in communication in a multi-cultural milieu.
