Based in Hong Kong, the “Japan, Asia North & Australia” (JANA) Cluster Business Execution role reports to the JANA Head of Business Execution. The JANA Business Execution team is responsible for driving strategic and business-critical initiatives and programs, uplifting and streamlining governance, ensuring effective Legal Entity management and controls, supporting Transformation execution, and cultivating a robust risk and control environment among other critical activities.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Support the JANA Cluster & Banking Head and JANA Head of Business Execution on promoting a culture of proactive controls; ensure issue management best practices are adopted at the country and cluster levels; coordinate event escalation and governance escalation with focus to address potential gaps and issues

  • Prepare and coordinate submissions on behalf of JANA Cluster and promote connectivity best practices among the country Business Execution teams

  • Ensure JANA Cluster, Country and Legal Entity governance model adheres to local laws and requirements and to Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework by effectively addressing all risk stripes (Financial and non-Financial risk) across all lines of defense. Activities include but not limited to preparing of meeting materials, documenting meeting minutes, tracking attendance and follow up actions, etc

  • Facilitate audit management and second line of defense review and contribute to regulatory exams / deliverables

  • Champion of key initiatives on behalf of JANA that could include policy review, Manager Control Assessment (MCA), Continuity of Business (COB) & Resiliency, required country and cluster attestation, and etc

  • Independent execution of deep dives and Cluster level projects related to strategy, risks and control, simplification and business execution

  • Drive administrative, operational, reporting and quality improvements through partnership with internal stakeholders

  • Participate and/or coordinate assigned deliverables within the Transformation programs

  • Support Hub Managed Countries (HMC) activities working with the assigned JANA lead

  • Serve as leave cover and alternate to fellow members of the JANA Cluster BE team across Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan

  • Support talent development and employee engagement initiatives for the Business Execution community as well as the broader JANA Cluster

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial services ideally with exposure to both businesses and functions

  • Detail oriented with track record of applying judgement when interpreting data and results with the ability to break down information in a systematic and communicable manner

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Strong at collaborating and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders

  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive, matrix and dynamic environments

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred
