People Matters Consultant, Hong Kong
What the day will look like
People Consultation and Policy Interpretation
Provide consulting and support to managers on workforce planning and employee relations issues
Deliver advice and consultation for policy to ensure compliance with HR policies, local workforce laws, and regulations
Answer employees’ enquiries and provide necessary support to them
Allegations and Performance issues
Deliver advice and consultation as required to manage assigned allegations or performance issues
Facilitate discussion to manage poor performance with line managers
Conduct internal investigations of allegations of misconduct and undertake conflict management and resolution of employee grievances and concerns and brings to closure following appropriate protocol
Collaborate with people partners, General Counsel and other internal parties on employee terminations and disciplinary actions as needed
HR Initiatives/projects/programs
Participate in global, regional or local HR projects and initiatives, etc.
Support and organize welling and I&D initiatives
Arrange and manage necessary documents and process for new joiners onboarding and leavers offboarding
Review current work process and make constructive recommendation to enhance work efficiency
On-going collaboration with People Partners, Talent Acquisitions and COEs to provide suggestions for continuous process & interaction improvements.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
University graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration or related disciplines with minimum 4 years HR experience
Mature and be a self-starter
Good organization skills and effective interpersonal skills
Good analytics and negotiations skills
Resilient, demonstrate abilities adapt to rapidly changing business environment and handle multiple tasks
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage
Good command of computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
