What the day will look like

Fully commit to all aspects of Aon’s leadership commitments and:

  • Represent Hong Kong as a member of Asia Claims Leadership Team

  • Represent claims as a member of Hong Kong Leadership Team

  • Engage as a point of senior level escalation to the benefit of clients on specific complex claims and / or portfolio performance issues with carriers, third party administrators and others.

  • Contribute to claims innovation and service model enhancement, including through leverage of ABS.

  • Contribute to new business and growth by articulating the value and differentiation of Aon’s claims approach and results, and by sponsorship of pricing and client service agreement strategies.

  • Manage the talent agenda for claims within Hong Kong, including career development, performance assessment, succession planning and recruitment.

  • Ensure engagement with Commercial Risk claims leaders in other geographies and business units to being the full benefit of Aon’s claims team to clients.

  • Actively engage in claims related carrier management activity and fully lead Hong Kong engagement in adjuster, law firm and other vendor relationship management

  • Specific oversight of claims services for, and opportunities with, SAM Accounts and Enterprise Clients based in Hong Kong (unless agreed otherwise)

  • Sponsorship of all relevant elements of the firm’s claims infrastructure, including global platform / claims resolution platform

  • Involvement in Risk Committee activities to assist in the mitigation of risk to the firm, specifically providing lessons learned and related to insights to inform stakeholders of the need for improvement and / or clarification in working processes, policy wordings etc.

  • Representation of Aon as a claims leader in the industry through Committee, Advisory Board, and other memberships, and through speaking publication engagements

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Degree qualified (legal qualification preferred).

  • At least 15 years of claims experience.

  • Experience advocating on client’s behalf with markets / non- standard / high value / complex points of law.

  • Understanding of the role of broking company in the claims arena, ability to interpret policy wordings, ability to maintain senior level insurer and client relationships, flexibility and creativity in negotiation, strong written and oral presentation skills.
