Aston Carter Deductions Analyst in Holtsville, New York
Title: Deductions Analyst
Position Overview
This position is responsible for evaluating, processing and
resolving customer claims (deductions) utilizing various data files and
systems.
Essential Functions
Identify, research, and resolve debit issues
Data entry of returns and credit memos
Maintain, analyze and reconcile debits past due to include 30, 60, 90 and 120 days
Create and maintain reports to uncover and track claims issues
Interface with various departments such as outside salesforce, traffic, warehouse personnel, accounts receivable, and customers for resolution of claims
Escalates unresolved issues to supervisor/Manager
Participate in training new personnel as well as cross training existing personnel
Skills
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Must have good analytical and organizational skills
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong Excel skills and technical ability
Solid personality and ability/desire to step into a team oriented environment
Multi-site experience a plus but not required
Great Plains experience a plus but not required (Large/Mid sized ERP system required)
Additional Information:
This position operates on an in office schedule
