Scheduled Weekly Hours:36 Full time position with no holiday or weekends required and one day off every two weeks. Full time benefit package included. Job Description: Major Responsibilities: Effectively performs specified assessment preceding, during and after exercise, and initiates appropriate intervention to maintain safety of patient. Directs patients in the performance of prescribed exercise while at the facility and instructs patients in home exercise. Communicates the program philosophy and goals of the exercise program to patients and assists patients in establishing appropriate goals of rehabilitation. Implements appropriate teaching/counseling for patient and family members. Communicates effectively with team members to provide quality patient care. Evaluates effectiveness of various interventions and charts progress at appropriate intervals. Obtains appropriate physician referrals, patient information and assesses various referrals to Exercise Physiology. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance. Personally interacts, engages with and cares for patients. Ensures patient safety. Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested. Works in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department and is responsible for recording and monitoring patient vitals and physiological response to treatment. Education and Learning: REQUIRED Master\'s degree in Exercise Physiology or Cardiac Rehabilitation or Human Performance or a related field or Assoicate Degree in Nursing Work Experience: REQUIRED 1-year successful completion of clinical internship. DESIRED 1-year prior work experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. License and Certifications: REQUIRED Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification If RN: must have valid Registered Nurse license with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. DESIRED Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (tracked in elearning) American College of Sports Medicine Certified (ACSM)within one year of hire.
