What will you do?

As BAU Project Manager, you will provide direction and supervision of Building Automaton projects to ensure successful delivery. Note, this role is not an IT Project Manager or general PM role. It is a great opportunity for a Building Automation Specialist or BAU Technician with direct experience, who wishes to move into a BAU Project Management!

  • Manages and coordinate multiple projects according to the company’s established project management methodologies and tools.

  • Develops project execution plan, detailed project schedules, incorporating critical timelines from construction requirements including work breakdown, structure, work package, and resource planning to achieve the defined milestones.

  • Directs project technical teams through various stages including planning, estimating, designing, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty.

  • Profitably manage project portfolio.

  • On-site to customer sites 2-3 days per week

Location: Southern/Southwestern Ontario (SWO) area include Hamilton ON, Niagara ON, St. Catherines ON, Cambridge ON, London ON, Guelph ON etc.

What will you need?

  • Requires three years of college or technical school, Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience.

  • 5+ years of direct experience working with Building Automation (BAU) Building Automation Systems (BAS) technology in the commercial construction industry .

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified with PMI or equivalent experience is an bonus but not a requirement.

  • Good knowledge of building systems, mechanical systems and relevant standards.

  • Proven diagnostic skills, able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical and quality-driven and decision-making abilities.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints and is able to adapt to change easily.

  • Self-motivated and good time management skills.

  • Calm under pressure.

  • Proficient in use of MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Visio, and MS Project.

  • IT literate.

  • Valid drivers license is essential to participate in company car program.

  • Must be willing and able to provide support for the Southern/SWO areas

  • Asset: Field Technician experience

Note - This is not and IT project management role or general project management role. This is a specialized role requiring expertise in Building Automation / Building Automation Systems, Building codes, electrical / mechanical is essential to service our commercial clients.
