We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire employment opportunity in Hamilton, Ohio. Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Invoice Management: Accurately manage and record vendor invoices in a timely manner.

  • Employee Reimbursements: Process employee reimbursement requests promptly and correctly.

  • Disbursements: Prepare, verify, and distribute check disbursements.

  • Vendor Communications: Respond to inquiries and effectively manage communications with vendors.

  • 1099 Issuance: Assist in issuing 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.

  • Vendor Files Maintenance: Maintain accurate and updated vendor files, including collecting and organizing W9 documentation.

  • Process Improvements: Implement industry best practices to enhance process controls and efficiency.

  • Special Projects: Collaborate with the team to assist on special initiatives or projects as needed.

    Requirements

In this role, you will leverage the following core skills:

  • Accounts Payable Processing: Expertise in recording, coding, and reconciling accounts payables.

  • Check Runs: Experience preparing and issuing disbursements on schedule.

  • Invoice Processing and Data Entry: Proven ability to handle a high volume of invoices accurately.

  • Account Reconciliation: Proficiency in reconciling AP-related accounts and resolving discrepancies.

  • Vendor File Maintenance: Knowledge of managing vendor documentation (e.g., W9s, contracts).

  • Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar accounting function is strongly preferred.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.

  • Proactive approach to process improvement and efficiency.
