Description We are in the process of hiring for a role based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in the Controller job function. This role provides the opportunity to work in an industry-leading organization, with a focus on maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions and providing financial analyses as needed. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

• Publishing timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Handling all financial audits, including Financial Statements, 401K, Worker Comp, etc.

• Calculating variances from the budget and reporting significant issues to the management team

• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Contributing to the production of the annual budget and forecasts

• Supervising the accounting staff

• Ensuring that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that all reasonable discounts are taken

• Ensuring that accounts receivable are collected promptly

• Monitoring 401k transactions for audit compliance

• Monitoring credit limits for customers

• Providing for a system of management cost reports

• Providing financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

• Recommending benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations

• Conducting ROI analysis for new assets purchases over $25,000

• Maintaining the chart of accounts Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Controller role

• Must have expertise in Accounting Functions

• Must have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing is required

• Must have knowledge of Budget Processes

• Experience in Job Costing is necessary

• Familiarity with Federal Government Contracts is preferred

• Experience in Contract Manufacturing is a plus

• Must have the ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

• Knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting is essential

• Must have experience in Month End Close processes.
