Summary: As our Pro Shop Host, you will serve as the welcoming face of our Swing Suites Top Golf Bays, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our guests. In this role, you will greet visitors with a warm smile and help them settle in as they embark on their exciting golf experience. You will coordinate gameplay, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that guests have access to all necessary equipment and information. Your primary goal is to assist our guests throughout their visit, helping them to enjoy every moment and make lasting memories. Additionally, you will be responsible for addressing and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise, all while maintaining an upbeat and positive environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the bays, offering detailed information about the various simulator options available to enhance their experience.

  • Provide Swing Suite guests with menus and be able to answer any questions regarding our food or drink offerings available in Swing Suites Top Golf.

  • Contact the beverage server in the area notifying server that guests have checked into the bay to introduce themselves and begin service needs, food, and beverage orders.

  • Ensure that the bay areas are spotless and well-organized by regularly clearing tables, picking up golf balls, and proactively assisting the food and beverage staff whenever necessary.

  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, addressing any issues or concerns with a high degree of professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Report any issues or concerns to the on-duty Food and Beverage Assistant Manager or Manager so they are aware.

  • Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to foster an enjoyable, positive, and memorable atmosphere for all guests, ensuring they feel valued and entertained.

  • Always prioritize the safety and well-being of both guests and employees, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Must have solid understanding of the game of golf, as this role requires knowledge of its rules and etiquette.

  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Records sales on (POS) system, with multiple possible payment options and collects payment from customers.

  • Oversee the administration of golf leagues and tournaments, coordinating schedules, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for participants.

  • Able to operate current line management systems (i.e., Yelp), entering guest information and alerting guests when seating is available.

  • Ability to operate simulator software for running the programs and leagues/tournaments.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and three (3) months guest service and relatable golf experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Low security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.

  • State of Oregon Food Handler’s Certificate.

  • If applicable, the State of Oregon Liquor Control Commission Server’s Permit may be required.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.

  • This position requires a golf knowledge test with a score 75% or higher.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a food service environment, with routine exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or tobacco smoke and occasional exposure to extreme cold or heat and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.

  • Subject to high levels of noise.

  • Work is subject to frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.

Equipment and Tools Utilized:

  • Equipment utilized includes personal computer, standard office equipment, box knife, card board crusher, and tools and equipment normally used in providing food and beverages such as coffee urns, espresso machines, push carts, trays, bus tubs, utensils and serving plates, telephone, audio/video equipment, and two-way radio.
