As a Medical Assistant (MA), you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. A Medical Assistant - is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.
The Trinity Health Grand Rapids transplant program has been around since 1973, performing more than 3000 kidney transplants. Our main priority is to provide our patients with individualized, compassionate, and expert care. We pride ourselves on being one of the largest and most successful community hospital-based transplant programs in the country.

Requirements for working as a Medical Assistants, MA
Graduated of a Medical Assistant Clinical Training Program or Externship program or 2 or more years of current, clinically relevant experience.
Preferred: RMA, AAMA, AMT, or CMA registration or certification
Medical Terminology
Current American Heart Association BCLS / CPR Certification
Completion of High School Diploma or GED
What Medical Assistants, MAs will do:
Room set up and patient preparation
Taking vitals
Admin (Processing Referrals, Intake Calls, Obtaining Medical Records, Scheduling CMS form completion, lab entry, scanning, faxing, chart preparation.
Phone calls
Setting up Physician Appointments (Time management and office flow)
May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments
