Corewell Health Care Everywhere Application System Analyst Senior in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Interoperability team. In this role, you will conduct Care Everywhere build and testing, support Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), and integrate with external HIEs via Care Everywhere. Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Gathering and translating technical specifications
• Identifying and troubleshooting system errors
• Collaborating with the Interface team on HL7 messaging
• Providing support through a ticketing queue
• Managing changes and leading technical aspects of projects
Essential Functions
Responsible for the planning, design, testing, implementation, support and analysis of programs and software.
Recommends technical and procedural designs for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines.
Consults with users to identify current operating procedures for departmental changes, defines system requirements, identifies programming and output needs, and develops designs to meet these needs. Also documents program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
Takes ownership of resolution for product and/or implementation issues.
Participates in risk assessment and assists in root cause analysis.
Ensures that change management policies and procedures are being applied.
Provides mentorship to less senior team members and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.
Provides forward-thinking technical leadership for application systems, and utilizing an understanding of both the current and future states of the technology is able define and articulate pros, cons, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in a related field
CRT - Care Everywhere
Willing to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred
Master's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience planning, design, testing, implementation, support and analysis of programs and software
Strong HL7 and interface mapping table experience
Strong experience with Health Information Exchange (HIEs) and data exchange with Care Everywhere network
Experience working with MiHIN (Michigan Health Information Network) and HISP's (Health Information Service Provider)
Experience with TEFCA configuration
Knowledge of the SAFe Agile
