As the Manager of the BlasterCard Office, you'll oversee the production and distribution of ID cards for our faculty, staff, students, retirees, and affiliates, as well as key cards for special events and summer camps. This position offers an opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of BlasterCard policies and procedures while utilizing cutting-edge software and hardware.

This works takes place on campus in Golden, Colorado. Primary Responsibilities
Operations
Manage the daily operation of the campus card program. Plan, monitor, and direct activities involving the campus card and maintain audit procedures consistent with university objectives. Establish customer service standards and effective procedures for system operation. Develop and maintain an advanced level of expertise in the application and use of state-of-the-art programs, software, and equipment that is essential to the campus card program and functions. Provide technical and organizational leadership for the acquisition and implementation of new hardware and software that affect the campus card program that interface with other university entities. Provide technical expertise in the operations of the campus card system. Identify strategic planning goals and new applications for development and implementation. Work with food service provider, Residence Life, and Bursar to develop, create, implement, and track all meal plans. Provide technical expertise and training for any new Point of Sale equipment and/or peripherals. Work with Event Services to develop, create, and issue Summer Conference cards that will allow for both access and meal tracking. Assist university departments with requests for customized/special use cards and additional services. Maintain Student Life access controls within the access system. Collaborate regularly with Access Services, ITS, Residence Life, and other campus partners to maintain processes, procedures, and software. Communicate regularly with various campus partners about updates, outages, or information about the campus card. Supervision
Recruit, hire, and evaluate BlasterCard student employees. Manage and schedule hourly student staff. Administration
Develop and prepare budgets for the campus card program. Purchase, secure, distribute and track usage of all necessary card production supplies. Provide operational, statistical, and financial reports and written recommendations as scheduled and requested. Create and analyze assessment data and initiatives for reporting and decision-making across the division.
Minimal Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. 3 years of experience in campus ID systems or related computer systems Analytical skills: The ability to collect, interpret, and use data to make decisions. Business-focused: The ability to identify strategies and techniques to meet organizational goals while adhering to financial and other business concerns. Communication: The ability to communicate verbally and nonverbally with colleagues, subordinates, and upper management. Leadership: The ability to guide the efforts of other professionals, such as software vendors and IT professionals. Organization: The ability to manage time, pay atten ion to detail, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science and software engineering or related field. Aptitude for learning and using information technology systems and services.
Salary and Benefits
$58,656 - $63,000
Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate's education, training and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
