Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician with advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting. You will oversee and supervise building engineers onsite, ensuring the efficient operation of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to meet environmental conditions. This role involves day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance on assigned properties.
Responsibilities
Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance on all assigned properties.
Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
Receive and complete work orders for corrective repair work on a variety of building structures and systems in a timely manner.
Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
Order necessary materials to complete required repairs within the limits set by the Property Manager.
Complete all required paperwork within established deadlines to close out work orders.
Maintain and renew any required trade certifications and licenses.
Periodically meet with the assigned Property Manager to ensure maintenance work achieves goals and objectives to maintain the property.
Refer and route work requests that exceed routine repairs to the Chief Engineer for review.
Perform physical tasks including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Work Environment
You will oversee a new property located in the West End. The role requires managing building systems and ensuring the property meets client-prescribed conditions. The work environment includes interaction with various personnel and involves physical tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Allen, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
