Summary

Established payroll professional. Manages payroll activities, prepares payroll and time and attendance transactions, maintains and assists in collecting and analyzing payroll related data with full understanding of payroll policies and controls, and wage and hour laws. Collects input for and responds to queries and participates in audits, reconciliations and projects.

Job Description

  • Responsible for payroll activities to ensure accurate and on-time processing.

  • Prepares and processes payroll and time and attendance transactions.

  • Manages and maintains payroll data, systems and schedules, and assists in the reconciliation of all payroll-related accounts by collecting and analyzing information to resolve payroll discrepancies.

  • Understands, follows and implements payroll controls, policies, reporting requirements and wage and hour laws.

  • Collects inputs for, and responds to, inquiries to clarify issues.

  • Guides, advises and provides data for payroll audits, reconciliations and projects to ensure compliance and timely completion.

Other tasks might include:

  • Employee inquiry resolution and advanced issue resolution

  • Daily, proactive interactions with key internal business partners and customers

  • Adherence to the defined payroll calendar

  • Maintenance of standard work/procedures

  • Integration data management (connector between Workday and GlobalView)

  • Comprehensive preparation and calculation of remuneration for Employees employed on the basis of employment contracts and civil law contracts

  • Preparation of PPK, GUS, PFRON, ZUS, PIT declarations

  • Entering data into the SAP system

  • Full support for the Płatnik program

  • Settlement of bailiffs' classes, loans, ZFŚŚ

  • Report creation and analysis

  • Collaboration with vendors

  • Monitor banking files and address rejects

  • Participate in and/or lead internal/external audits

  • Project management where required

Education:

  • In-country equivalent payroll certifications/qualifications required

Experience:

  • Experience in a similar position

  • Knowledge of issues and skills in the field of calculating wages for work, cash benefits from social insurance in the field of illness and maternity, social security, personal income tax

  • GlobalView/SAP and Workday experience welcome

  • Ability to think analytically and communicate effectively

  • Knowledge of country and localized payroll legislation

  • Time & Attendance knowledge

  • Good Analytical skills

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (excel, word, etc.)
