Description

We are seeking a bright, well-organized individual with an energetic attitude to join our Human Resources team. The HR Coordinator will support all aspects of the employee life cycle and assist the payroll manager while working closely with the HR and management teams.

This is a part-time, in-office position (22.50 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

HR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Act as a front-line support to employees addressing their concerns and questions (answering telephone calls, walk-ins and monitoring the HR email inbox).

  • Provides full-cycle strategic recruitment and staffing support to NYPSG’S hiring managers.

  • Screens resume, conducts phone interviews, administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, ensures i9 compliance, and delivers employment offers.

  • Acts as the first point of contact for external inquiries regarding open job positions and in-person resume submission.

  • Maintains ongoing communication with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.

  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, licenses, credentials, employment agreements).

  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system.

  • Responsible for effective onboarding of all new hires and carrying out orientation activities.

  • Manages ID card access for the company and maintains employee directory.

  • Assists with the implementation of services, policies, and programs through the HR department.

  • Maintains employee-related documents, books, and employee files.

  • Extract data and provide reporting as requested.

  • Assist with HR newsletters and communications.

  • Assist with coordination company events and activities.

  • Act as a backup/assist the payroll manager when the payroll manager is out of the office, with processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees

  • Maintain and organize payroll records

  • Process and maintain payroll information for paid time off requests, sick leave, holiday pay, etc.; Reconcile PTO time for employees

  • Maintain employee timecard (punch in/punch out) information to ensure accuracy

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

  • 3+ years as a HR assistant/coordinator.

  • Experience with talent acquisition required, (experience with Indeed recruiting a plus).

  • Experience with HRIS programs required, UltiPro or Ultimate Software highly preferred.

  • Experience with employee engagement (communication channels, surveys and events) a plus.

  • Experience with payroll processing a plus

  • Experience with MS Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

Compensation: $25.00-$28.00
