OVERVIEW We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a strategic partner to management, providing guidance and support in various HR functions. Your expertise will help shape organizational design, enhance employee engagement, and drive effective talent management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of HR systems.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • The HR Business Partner must possess deep business acumen, they must understand the company and its challenges to help address any organization and talent needs.
  • The HR Business Partner must be able to work at all levels of the "HR stack" -- this includes strategic, operational, and tactical to influence effectively across all levels of the company.
  • Provides support and guidance to supervisors, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Works with the training and development manager to develop learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Conducts or oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Serve on the safety committee, events committee and cultural transformation committee.
  • Ensures that employee training, self-improvement programs, and skills development programs are in place. Conducts periodic reviews of programs to ensure success.
  • Negotiates renewals of benefit insurances, such as, health insurance, workman's compensation insurance, uniform services, etc
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • Hands-on payroll and benefit administration experience
  • Experience in culture change and related programs

**WORKING CONDITIONS *

  • Office setting
  • Some travel (off-site meetings, job fairs, etc.)
  • Plant visits (with all required PPE)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
