Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Supports all technical aspects of production equipment in the Foam and Film production facilities, with goals of maintaining quality and improving business unit profitability.

  • Develops process methods and controls to meet quality standards.

  • Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical equipment and process issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve same.

  • Understand equipment operation and function as required to determine preventive and predictive maintenance needs.

  • Demonstrate team mindset and organizational agility by working closely with all team members and building strong, positive relationships.

  • Demonstrate communication and listening skills with proven ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.

  • Assists with development of capital authorizations justified by cost reduction, reliability, repair and safety initiates.

  • Manage small to medium capital projects. (10K to 100K)

  • Manage documentation for process, future maintenance, safety, environmental and other policy compliance

  • Lead and/or support new equipment, process, and product trials and production start-up efforts.

  • Organize, research, and lead brainstorm events around solving unique operational problems.

  • Develop performance specification and testing methodology to define and validate product performance.

  • Maintain and update project reporting documentation. Participate in regular organizational project update meetings.

  • Assignments may require domestic travel up to 50-75% of the time , based on business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering discipline

  • 6+ years of applicable plastics manufacturing process engineering experience: expanded polymers extrusion, thermoforming, blown film and bag making process knowledge desirable.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing processes and concepts

  • Solid communications skills, both written and verbal, required. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Utilizes a variety of concepts, practices and procedures within a particular engineering field.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities.

  • Recognized as a technical leader and key resource.

  • Must be well organized, analytical, decisive, action oriented and a team player.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCad, Tableau, Pi, data collection analysis or similar

  • Ability to consistently earn and maintain the trust of clients and collaborators

  • Comfortable with a large corporate environment and structure

  • Ability to work very effectively with limited direction on multiple high priority programs

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000 - $158,400 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
