Job Summary
This position is for a Electro Optical Infrared (EOIR) Integration Lead. The candidate selected for this position will perform duties as assigned as part of the Electro Optical Infrared Team.
As a member of the Electro Optic Infrared team, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting activities associated with the development and maturation of EOIR solutions for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth (LM Aero).
This is a system engineering type position. Responsibilities include defining, reviewing and documenting engineering requirements, performing engineering document reviews, reviewing specifications, coordinating with the Principal Engineers and other key stakeholders, and interfacing/coordinating with various internal-to-LM and external-to-LM customers. The selected candidate shall be required to employ their education and experience in engineering for planning, development, integration and validation of Electro Optic, Infrared Optic and Laser Optic systems on military fighter aircraft to meet contract requirements. Key areas of focus are knowledge of US defense contract lifecycles, design, development, integration, test, verification and validation of military Electro Optic, Infrared and Laser systems.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain clearances to special access programs. Candidate must also be willing to infrequently travel nationally and internationally to support program meetings and testing events.
The selected candidate will support preparing and giving briefings as required to customers, technical leads and/or Lockheed Martin management. The candidate must possess exceptional people skills and oral and written communication skills. The candidate must possess strong organizational, planning and collaboration skills including the ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to identify and resolve issues, and be able to work well in teams to meet or beat deadlines.
Travel may be required to Customer facilities and Lockheed Martin sites.
The selected candidate must be a US citizen and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain at a minimum an interim DoD Secret prior to start of work, must maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a SAP/SAR clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Familiarity with Avionics, EW/CM, Radar, CNI, EO/IR Sensors or Fusion Systems
Strong Electro-Optical Systems Engineering Development and Integration Skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills - ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Desired Skills:
Laboratory, Field and Flight Test of Electro Optic, Infrared and/or Laser Systems experience on defense contracts.
Familiarity with engineering oversight of supplier(s).
Fundamental understanding of Electro Optic, Infrared and/or Laser Systems with experience testing/troubleshooting sensors, sensor systems or avionics using various types of test equipment.
Professional and interpersonal communication skills required to interface with individuals from various disciplines while performing complex serial and parallel tasks required to successfully deliver support equipment products to our customer
Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and challenging electronic systems
Problem solving and project planning experience
Experience with Military or Government Programs
Experience interfacing with customers and subcontractors.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
