At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role is $30.77 per hour.

You Must Have (Minimum Qualifications):

  • A minimum of 18 years of age

  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment or team leadership position, or equivalent training

  • Mechanical skills/aptitude

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language

  • Adhere/understand to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)

  • Communicate effectively with others to complete required documentation both in written and electronic form utilizing the English Language

  • Prior leadership experience and computer proficiency in email, internet, and Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibiltiies/Essential Functions:

  • Ensure team (including self) is following SOP's, GMP's, and safety procedures.

  • Ensure team members (including self) are trained on standard work and complete required training.

  • Ensure production metrics for team is accomplished.

  • The Cheese Team Lead must be able to communicate effectively in relaying information to team members, team leads, supervisors, and managers as applicable.

  • The Cheese Team Lead must be able to understand the requirements of the position and successfully demonstrate proficiency in the job specific PSOP job certification.

  • The Cheese Team Lead must have working knowledge of HTST, separators, starter make, vats, DMC, preheat, mixers, GRD, P2, finesavers, noltec, fortification, brine tanks, CIP systems, packaging, and milk receiving.

  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following good manufacturing practices as required by company procedures, maintain housekeeping in area and completing eMSS daily.

  • Ensure team (including self) are up-to-date on montly required safety and quality trainings.

  • This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.

  • Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.

  • Ensure safety walks are completed as required.

  • Drive safety initiatives for team during pre-shift meetings.
