Description of Work Unit
The CSU Equine Reproduction Laboratory has developed leading-edge equine reproduction techniques for the equine industry for over 45 years. Techniques such as collection of semen and artificial insemination, recovery and transfer of equine embryos, shipping cooled semen, and shipping cooled embryos are now routine in the equine industry, due in large part to the research, education, and outreach efforts of the CSU Equine Reproduction Laboratory

Position Summary
Seeking a self-motivated employee with horse/livestock experience. Including cleaning/bedding stalls, feeding horses, and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work jointly with other team members. May work 20-40 hours per week. Available to work early mornings, late afternoons, holidays, and weekends. Hiring 1 position with an approximate start date of April 15, 2025.
Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning/removing manure from stalls and paddocks
Inspect horses for signs of injury or illness
Washing & disinfecting stalls, buckets, tools, drinkers, and equipment
Feeding horses (mares, foals, and stallions) – hay, grain, and supplements
General barn upkeep and grounds/facilities maintenance
Additional duties as directed
Position Minimum Qualifications
Equine/livestock experience
Early morning, late afternoon, weekend, and holiday availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving a truck & trailer, skid loader, and/or tractor
