Position Summary For Essential Functions

Overall purpose of the position: In this role, the employee will be directly responsible for ensuring facilities are in clean, working order. This employee must have the skills and ability to perform regular and ongoing maintenance. This employee also must have the customer service and communication skills to work with vendors and tenants to ensure satisfaction. This employee normally works a 40-hour work week.

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience: Custodial experience preferred. A valid drivers license with a clean drivers license is preferred. Must have a DOD Secret clearance or higher.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintenance: Ensure that the bathrooms, hallways, offices, conference rooms, kitchens, and other areas of the facility are kept clean on an ongoing basis. Unpack and stock supplies for the cafeterias and kitchenette. Perform custodial duties when needed.
  • Hours: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Location: Chantilly, Virginia
  • Rate of pay: $15 per hour

Non-Essential Functions

The following are the non-essential functions of the position:

  • Attend related educational /training/informational workshops, seminars, or courses as requested or as needed to support the facility maintenance program.
  • Assist with custodians when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
