Duties:•Meet and conference with individual and corporate clients, providing preliminary consultation on pertaining legal issues.•Counseling clients on legal issues such as corporate governance, risk of legal compliance, etc.•Negotiate and draft legal contracts in a wide range of fields such as shareholder agreements, operating agreements, lease agreements, employment agreements, etc.•Represent client in corporate and business transactions, including negotiating and drafting business transaction documents such as contracts of sale, share purchase agreement, assignments of lease, closing documents, etc.•Gather and research statutes, court decisions, etc. to keep in line with current laws and regulations.•Counseling and negotiating on behalf of clients on business disputes such as commercial landlord-tenant conflicts, shareholders dispute, etc. and representing business disputes clients in court proceedings. Educational requirements: at least a Master’s Degree in Law or higher is required. License requirement: must be an attorney licensed to practice in New York State. Professional requirement: 1 year of experience as Associate in corporate law practice.
