Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate, where you will play a crucial role in handling the day-to-day operations within our state-of-the-art facility. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight, reconciling manifests, and ensuring the overall safety and cleanliness of the dock. This position requires an individual who can perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.

• Unload inbound and outbound containers, sorting freight according to size and destination.

• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing process.

• Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.

• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.

• Perform cleanup activities to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.

• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous warehouse experience.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in following directions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Work Environment

This position is based in a brand new, climate-controlled facility. The work environment is clean and well-maintained. We offer multiple shifts to accommodate different schedules: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am (Sunday night to Thursday night). Candidates will undergo training on the 1st shift during the first week, with training sessions scheduled from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on the first day. Weekend night shifts are also available from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, Kentucky.
