Magna-Power Electronics, a Flemington, New Jersey based electronics manufacturer, is seeking an Electronic Test Technician to join its dedicated world class team. The Electronic Test Technician will ensure that power supply units and electronic loads perform their required functions per company specifications and meet quality standards. Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.
The Electronic Test Technician is responsible for:
Final testing of programmable DC power supplies and electronic loads in the power range of 1.5 kW to 1,000 kW
Final board-level testing of control boards, driver boards, and associated circuitry
Wiring high-power AC and DC connections for burn-in
Troubleshooting and repairing of power processing circuitry and controls for products returned for repair
Working within the company's ERP system to identify parts, revisions, and work orders
Operating automated test systems utilizing Magna-Power developed test software
Keeping production records, logbooks and test data as required
Assembling and running test circuits to ensure electronic components perform according to product specifications
Performing calibration tests under real-world conditions
The education and experience for this position includes:
High school diploma or GED required; Electronic technology certificate, Associate of Science degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred, but not required
Experience working with and assembling hardware systems (mechanical and electrical hardware)
Experience with test equipment including signal generators, oscilloscopes, and volt meters
Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and experience with digital electronics, circuit functions, basic electronics, electrical wiring, BOMs and schematic reading
Good analytical and mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform basic math
