This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, building sales skills and product knowledge. Effective Assistant Managers maximize productivity and profitability by balancing sales and expenses, identifying sales opportunities and setting customer service standards, while ensuring that the store is optimally stocked and merchandised. They must demonstrate knowledge of the store's purpose and goals and have the skills to help associates achieve those goals.

Members of Store Management will routinely be called upon to do the jobs or some functions of the job of all their subordinates and therefore should have the skill and capability to perform all the essential functions of all the jobs in the store. ::: :::
