Job Description
The external reporting Senior Accountant within Robert Bosch LLC‘s Global Business Services organization plays a critical role in providing accurate, timely, and relevant financial information, accounting guidance and support to key stakeholders of the company. Under general supervision, the position will be responsible for but not limited to:
External reporting-related activities for various entities throughout North America.
Interim and year-end financial statement preparation and consolidation, current forecast consolidation and government reporting.
External audit coordination and support.
Technical accounting research and evaluation.
Supporting with specific account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and special projects, as needed.
Research, interpret, and apply accounting principles (IFRS) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Assess and document the accounting treatment for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, consolidations, and acquisitions.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and business needs.
The Senior Accountant must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a talented team, focused on working efficiently to promote work/life balance. The Senior Accountant must be adaptable to change and have the ability to take initiative, work independently and problem solve with support from the team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
5+ years of accounting experience in a large, complex corporate or public accounting environment
3+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a corporate accounting role with technical accounting responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA Certification and public accounting experience
Financial reporting and general ledger
Proficient knowledge of computer skills including MS Office applications, including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, v-lookups, etc.)
High level of written and oral communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
SAP experience
