MAG Communications Technician / Senior Systems Analyst in Fairfax, Virginia
Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is bidding on a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) effort and contingently hiring for three (3) experienced Marine Technician / Senior Systems Analysts
Marine Technician / Senior Systems Analyst shall provide technical support of the current systems listed below in areas of all marine and tactical communications.
The place of performance for this position is:
National Marine Center in St. Augustine, FL.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of this position will include the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) of the following systems:
Motorola family of radios to include APX, ASTRO, and XTS, operation, programming and testing.
Tactical Intercom operation and programming
David Clark Digital 9100 programming
Sonetics Headset Configuration Utility
Repair Order induction and tracking.
CAMITS, Customs Automated Maintenance Inventory Tracking System 2.
COTHEN, Customs over the Horizon Enforcement Network.
Automatic Identification System (AIS)
P25 radio infrastructure/network
Two-way, Global, IsatData Pro Satellite communication
KVL 3000 Plus Key Loader
R-2004D Communications System Analyzer
IsatM2M Developers Toolkit
ORBCOMM Developers Toolkit
Monitoring the Quality Assurance of the completed repairs.
Shipping ready for issue assets to their required destinations.
Shipping assets for repairs/upgrades.
Requirements
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Marine Technician
US Military or commercial electronics training and experience
Working knowledge of basic air to-surface radio systems
Extensive working knowledge of marine communication systems
Ability to produce and present technically oriented training documents
Communications Electronics Test Equipment experience.
Education:
Minimum High School Degree

SECRET Active/Current

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $170,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
