Queen's Health System CT Technlgt (Full Time, 40, Rotating) in Ewa Beach, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares and performs a variety of CT and radiologic procedures.
• Provides patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
• Frequent: standing, walking, twisting body, stooping/bending, lifting weight with assistance up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 40 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting body.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation.
• Work environment is fast paced and high stressed due to patient census.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
• Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.). If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.
• Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility;
OR
• One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
• CT experience preferred.
