Role Overview:

The Sourcing Strategy Leader has responsibility to achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction for the program. The role ensures daily management of Sourcing and acts as the cross-functional strategy leader of the Integrated Program Team (IPT).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

  • Ensures strategic source selection to deliver high-rate production.

  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, and services.

  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization.

  • Partners with other Commodity Leaders and Commodity Managers to drive outcomes aligned to negotiation parameters.

  • Partners with other IPT functions to ensure robust plans are in place and suppliers are ready to deliver at rate.

  • Develops dual source strategies that de-risk the program and drive incentives based on overall SQDC performance.

  • Ensures compliance to all regulations that meet the needs of GE Aerospace and the end customer.

  • Ensures compliance to Sourcing Strategy and partners with all Sourcing and IPT members to maximize value to GE Aerospace.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experiencing in Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supplier Management)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supplier Management.

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and continuous improvement knowledge

  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Established project management skill

  • Ability to work in complex, rapid and ambiguous environments
