Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Performs and documentsinitialand ongoing assessments of patient's condition. * Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family. * Educates and counsels patients and familiesregardingtreatment plans and progress. * Plans and/orassistswith patient discharge from therapy services. * Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
