Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role:

A s a Process Integration Engineer, you work closely with our engineering team on projects that may include process yield, cost reduction, integrated process capability , technology ramp and technology transfers. Work includes gathering and analyzing data, using data to define problems and drive improvements, summariz ing and shar ing findings and driving closure of the control plan to secure improvement. This position requires strong analytical , problem-solving and engineering skills. This position will be located at GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Essex Junction, Vermont.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Define opportunities for improvement based on risk or performance against a key metric (yield, performance, capability, cost, delivery)

  • Gather and analyze data that that enhances the understanding of the problem

  • Develop and test hypotheses of the root cause

  • Develop and implement solutions

  • Summarize findings and communicate across key stakeholders

  • Document and globalize learning

    Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Actively pursuing a b achelor or master's in engineering, m aterials s cience, c hemistry or p hysics or related field.

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

  • Travel as needed - Up to 10%

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse team s
