Ephrata National Bank Maintenance Technician II in Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Facilities Leader, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and upkeep of Ephrata National Bank owned properties to ensure safe building and property operating conditions which comply with safety and OSHA standards and local building codes and regulations. The Maintenance Technician II possesses an intermediate level of maintenance knowledge and under the direction of the Facilities Leader, performs some maintenance functions independently.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs manual labor and intermediate skilled work in the maintenance of bank building facilities and grounds.
  • Constructs and performs minor to intermediate level repair of mechanical, masonry, carpentry, heating/air and ventilation systems, and plumbing work.
  • Performs minor to intermediate level electrical work such as replacing bulbs, ballasts, fuses, switches, and receptacles.
  • Patches and paints walls with intermediate skill and quality.
  • Maintains machinery, equipment and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and oiling to ensure optimum working order.
  • Assists with coordinating and managing external vendors as needed.
  • Use and accurately complete work orders with in the CMMS software system.
  • Recognizes potential maintenance needs and demonstrates initiative to address concern and reduce the risk of future problems with appropriate level of decision making ability.
  • Sweeps exterior walkways, waters landscape, plants flowers, weeds gardens, mows lawns, and performs snow removal of driveways and walkways.
  • Complies with all safety and health regulations and complies with all OSHA standards. 
  • Collaborates closely with all members of the Facilities Team.
  • Responds to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs and demonstrates agility to sudden change in direction; diagnoses and troubleshoots issues. May include after-hours response.
  • Works with and maintains successful relationships with contracted vendors.

``` - Maintains maintenance logs to ensure and regularly scheduled checks have been performed and completed for all ENB facilities. - Provides backup for Facilities Specialist duties including mail and supply delivery.  - Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required, some college desired
  • 3-5 Years of experience in the maintenance of building facilities and grounds, repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures
  • Maintain required safety compliance trainings and able to use safe work practices on the job
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures
  • Ability to work effectively with the public and employees, work as a team member, ability to follow instructions, and has the ability  to work independently without supervisor instruction
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential information
  • Must have valid PA Driver's license
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stop, and lift or move heavy equipment
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Supervisory Requirements:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job is regularly performed in a combination of office, outside and shop environments, and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oi , fumes and noise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required. Ability to work emergency after hour calls as needed, with a possible rotation schedule required.

Travel:  

Travel between branches may be required for this position. Will be required to use a company vehicle.
