Facilities Technician
Job Description
This individual will be responsible for going into apartment units to make required repairs to ensure the unit is ready for the next tenant. They will also perform repairs to current units in a 144-unit apartment complex.
Responsibilities
Perform hands-on light construction such as wood framing, drywall installation, painting, and installing doors and hardware.
Change air filters.
Ensure electrical outlets and light switches are operational.
Check water flow and inspect for plumbing leaks.
Contract out major plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry work as needed.
Use basic construction hand tools like a hammer, tape measure, and electrical multimeter to check outlets and troubleshoot light switches.
Conduct light facilities maintenance and unit troubleshooting to prepare units for new tenants.
Rod drains, fix faucets, and perform other repairs within an apartment setting.
Paint, repair drywall, and perform taping repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
Own tools
Computer experience to perform work orders
Experience using Buildium for management of workflow
Ability to schedule and prioritize work
Ability to work independently as the sole maintenance person on site

Work Environment
Day Shift - 8 AM to 5 PM with flexibility for maintenance personnel to come in early or stay later if needed due to repairs or maintenance. Units are unoccupied, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Elmhurst, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elmhurst,IL.
