Our client, a managed geospatial services company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. This position is located in Elkhart, IN and is a direct hire opportunity. Job Duties: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our civil engineering team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers on private land development projects, focusing primarily on commercial and industrial site development. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of civil engineering solutions that adhere to industry standards and client requirements. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe

  • Prior experience in civil engineering design, particularly in land development and site development for commercial and industrial projects is preferred

  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Design and Planning:

  • Develop detailed civil engineering designs for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utility layout, and site planning

  • Prepare site development plans, specifications, and cost estimates

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for storm water management

Project Management:

  • Assist in the management of projects from conception through construction, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements and objectives are achieved

  • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and status updates

Technical Analysis:

  • Conduct technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering projects

  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools to create and review design drawings

  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and other team members to provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle

  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and interns
