Eaton Corporation Material Handler II- 2nd shift- Auditor in El Paso, Texas
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler II- 2nd shift- Auditor. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:15 am. The rate for this position is $17.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the effort to build a new operation as production in El Paso gets started. The Material Handler will provide manufacturing expertise and support in the Storeroom and production area including, but not limited to, allocation of materials, planning, scheduling, verifying, receiving, and shipping with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards. Essential Functions:
• You will be responsible for picking multiple orders for production assembly
• Resolve warehouse challenges with attention to detail
• Responsible for performing accurate inventory transactions
• Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals
• Support assigned work-area clean and organized per 5S standards
• Closely follow established procedures for completing assigned function and perform special assignments and/or projects as assigned.
• Executing warehouse transactions through AS400 and use various complex business systems
• Review and delegate workorders per daily requirements
• Continuously maintain key indicators and update daily
• Maintain communication with support functions
• Ability to develop and mitigate issues through continuous process improvements and LEAN concepts
Qualifications:
Education and Minimum Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing, distribution, or military experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
• Two or more years of forklift experience (standup and/or sit-down)
• Computer skills include Excel, Word, DMM, AS400, Mapics, Vista, & Outlook.
Technical Knowledge:
• Demonstrated proficiency with Eaton systems and tools, including AS-400
• Knowledge of Eaton’s internal quality policies and standards
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Strong communication, organizational and computer skills
Skills:
• Knowledge of processes and procedures related to steel and bus fabrication, receiving, shipping, and inventory control
• Working knowledge of Lean concepts
