Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Industrial Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing factory layouts and material flow, and leading corrective action processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in continuous improvement principles, data analysis, and manufacturing systems, coupled with excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and sustain improvement initiatives using continuous improvement methodologies.
Monitor and report on the progress and impact of improvement projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Identify ways to reduce costs through recommendations – i.e. new process equipment, equipment justification to improve performance.
Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment and engagement on improvement efforts.
Provide training and support to employees on new processes and systems.
Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Corrective Action Leadership
Analyze root causes of operational issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with functional teams to ensure actions address the identified problems and prevent recurrence.
Facilitate corrective action efforts throughout organization.
Develop and maintain corrective action tracking and reporting systems.
Factory Layout & Material Flow Optimization
Assess current facility layouts and material flow processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Design and implement optimized factory layouts that support efficient manufacturing principles and enhance material handling.
Miscellaneous
Assess, implement, and track KPIs to ensure progress.
Knows and applies the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to the area of responsibility and the organization.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years in an industrial engineering or related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
Development of factory/warehouse layout optimization experience is a must.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of continuous and process improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in layout design and simulation tools for material flow analysis.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production data analysis.
Ability to work with a high degree of personal discipline
Good presentation skills
Technical aptitude
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in change management and employee engagement strategies.
Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in manufacturing.
Compensation Information:
$100,000 - $115,000 Annually commensurate with Experience, Education, and Qualifications
