Who is Fusion Technology?
Fusion Technology is a performance-driven HUBZone Small Business concern residing in the heart of the beautiful mountainsides of West Virginia, steps away from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Criminal Justice Information Services Division's Headquarters. Fusion Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) is a division of Fusion Technology created in response to emerging demands on IT Integration closely related to human factors in the workplace. Operating from the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the idyllic town of Easton, Fusion ESG is a Technology Integration Contractor (TIC) that provides turnkey design, engineering, implementation, logistical, project management, and quality assurance solutions and services to mission-critical facilities worldwide.
Who are you?
Security-cleared Professional: We know you are a trustworthy professional because you have an active Top Secret security clearance. If you also have an Active Personal Identification Verification (PIV) badge, you’re already a preferred candidate.
Seasoned Specialist: You have 7 years of experience managing commercial building construction safety programs. You are experienced in the oversight of construction crews and the inspection of construction means and methods in government greenfield renovation projects. You know a lot about construction safety programs and can prepare required submittals and reports and provide specialized knowledge for Requests for Information (RFIs). Having an Active ProjNet account and knowledge of disaster recover (DR) checks and the OBO Integrated Design Review (IDR) process is a plus.
World Traveler: You want to live overseas for extended deployments (1 – 4 years) and you have a valid passport, at least 6 months from its expiration date. You are up-to-date on all vaccinations, including the COVID 19 vaccination and those recommended by the CDC and WHO (or you’re willing to get vaccinated for travel).
Detail Oriented: You can find a needle in a haystack. You have a high level of attention to detail in your work and can produce high-quality, expert-level materials.
Word Wiz: You know how to walk the walk, but can you talk the talk? You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and consider yourself proficient in using Microsoft Office products.
Knowledgeable: Your 2-years of advanced schooling really paid off. You have a 2-year Associate of Arts or Associate Technical Degree. Your knowledge and expertise also earned you a Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification.
Go-Getter: You continued your education with training in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 40 and you maintain a strong working knowledge of the US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Safety Requirements Manual EM385-1-1.
Experienced: While not required for the job, you would really stand out if you have a broad knowledge and experience in commercial construction; experience in Government construction; and you excel at team-building activities.

The Department of State (DOS) Overseas Buildings Operations’ (OBO) mission is to provide safe, secure, functional, and resilient facilities that represent the United States Government and securely house our mission-critical Government personnel and intel. The largest application of this mission is related to building new and renovating existing US Embassies and Consulates abroad. Fusion ESG supports this mission by providing project management and engineering services culminating in the construction management team that augments and facilitates the OBO Project Directors, Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS). Our team provides experienced and steady construction management for functional facilities overseas that represent American values and the best in American architecture, design, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture, and construction execution.
What you’ll do:
Inspect, document, and report the hazards of construction sites, including, but not limited to, tools and tool usage; work methods; site conditions; risk identification and mitigation; safety training; emergency response; personal protection equipment (PPE); and consistency with project requirements
Interface with and provide subject matter expertise to members of the project team (end-user, PD, and other government representatives, contractors, local workers, etc.)
Maintain accountability for the overall successful execution of assigned tasks
Communicate with the Fusion Technology Project Management Office (PMO) in meetings, reporting, and the timely escalation of project issues
Use and protect classified material
Attend special training on general and project-specific security requirements and specialty reporting
