About the position:

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Parts Distribution Center in East Syracuse, New York. We are looking for someone to coordinate, and oversee the daily operations at the PDC. Someone who will mentor and provide leadership to our 3rd shift warehouse associates. You will assign and review the work accomplished by assigned staff, meeting completion dates. Oversee training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, interpreting and insuring consistent application of organizational policies. This position is in a TPS culture and support of these principles is required. This position requires flexibility to other shifts first or second and business drives the need. You will:

• Provide data and analysis concerning departmental and individual performance. Evaluate, recommends, and implements changes in methods or procedures in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Plan and schedule the work of a section, department or organization, or multiple sections, departments or organizations for maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment and material within budgetary, cost and quality standards.
• Estimate needs and assign work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules fixed by business plan, and or management.
• Conduct performance appraisals, make hiring decisions, and take disciplinary action including termination.
• Foster a safe work environment.
• Encourage associate submittal of Kaizen and ensure implementation.
• Support the organization's TPS culture.
• Perform other projects as assigned.

This position is 3rd shift

About the work environment:

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.

About you:

• 2 + years of warehousing experience

It would be great if you had:

• An Associate's Degree in a related field
• 2 + years of experience in a supervisory/management role
• Experience creating a positive work environment

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $62,000 - $77,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
