Key Objective(s):

The main purpose of the Real Estate Controller is:

• Responsible for providing leadership and coordination for the company’s financial statements, cash controls, budget preparation and year end audit review.

  Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing, monitoring and analyzing the monthly financial results against the budget

• Enhancing the accuracy of the financial reports and ensuring compliance

• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting and cash room departments

• Establishing and implementing short- and long-range department goals, policies and operating procedures

• Directing and delegating the year-end financial audits for all the lease agreements and for the property.

• Supervising the Real Estate Administration staff; recruit, train, and evaluate

• Establishing and maintaining the point-of-sale systems, accounting systems and internal cash control systems

• Managing an outsourced shared service team.

• Other responsibilities as required

  Desired Qualifications:

• Five (5) to ten (10) years of accounting experience in a large-scale environment

• A Certified Management Accountant or Certified Public Accountant

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to efficiently learn and use new software programs

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including General Accepted Accounting Procedures

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance

  Physical Job Requirements:
