Summary:

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for accurately preparing material and labor estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review plans and specifications for projects bidding
• Complete computerized bid reviews for project bidding within timeframe
• Develop scopes of work and note special conditions for estimates
• Perform computerized takeoffs
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to assure proper pricing for projects
• Evaluate all labor data for final use and input into final estimate file
• Attend pre-bids and conduct site visits

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in cost estimating for HVAC or plumbing systems
• Experience using Quickpen Estimating System is preferred
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to multi-task
