Need 10 full time, temporary, seasonal Heavy Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From:09/09/2024 - 10/05/2024 Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Must Apply By: 09/23/2024 JOB DUTIES: Follow supervisor instructions always and arrive to work on time, Conduct thorough and accurate pre-trip inspections on field trucks, semi-trucks & trailers, Safe and correct operation of trucks. Perform duties in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques, Safe and correct hook-up of trailers, Safely and correctly load/unload trailer with potatoes and tie down load as needed, Correctly distribute potatoes in trailer, Follow delivery instructions to and from the harvesting location & accurately complete logs & other necessary forms. Deliver & pickup other farm related materials when necessary to field locations, Maintain and care for tarps, ropes, and all other driver/truck equipment. Communicate with dispatcher, planter supervisors, field supervisors, & other co-workers, and field & farm receiving in a courteous, professional manner. Participate in safety trainings, orientations and all other company meetings as required. Report all injuries to supervisor immediately regardless of how slight they might seem. When not operating the truck & trailer, employees will be required to participate on the basic maintenance of the trucks/trailers. Unloading and grading potatoes, Operating a forklift. Position requires Class A CDL, 50lbs., Drug screening prior to driving duties, Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, walking or sitting, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
