New York City Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services Staff Nurse, Correctional Health Services EAST ELMHURST, New York

Licensed Registered Professional Nurse currently registered to practice in New York State. Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership traits (e.g. decision-making ability and skills in problem-solving, communication, priority-setting, and interpersonal relationships) with a minimum of one year of clinical nursing practice as a medical/surgical nurse, preferably in a acute care setting preferred. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development through attendance at continuing education programs and participation in professional/organizational committees/councils Two years of current Correctional Health and/or Med-Surgical and/or Behavioral Health experience Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
