Expeditors Logistics Transportation Specialist - Evenings in Eagan, Minnesota

Entry level position that provides opportunity for advancement based on success. Heavy focus on international airfreight and includes basic warehouse activities/inventory management. Strong training program available to develop skillset with leading global logistics provider.

*Position Hours are 11am-8pm Monday-Friday

  • Timely and professional communication with clients and offices through high volume of email, phone, instant message, and in person.

  • Tracking and tracing of freight

  • Preparation of quotes to clients

  • Client notification of shipment delays, missing cargo, damaged freight

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operations system

  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing

  • Ensure compliance at all times to regulations

  • Dispatch freight

  • Monitor reports

  • Contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships - airlines, trucking companies, and others

  • Meet key performance indicators in support of department, branch, product, and company goals

  • Desire to understand overall department process flow and constantly seek opportunities for improved efficiency

  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

  • Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results

  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills

  • Strong desire to learn

  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Basic US/Global Geography 

  • Fluent in English
