Job Title: Production Material Preparer
Job Description
We are seeking a Production Material Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing materials for production, utilizing various tools and equipment, and ensuring smooth operations within the shop. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare materials for production
Utilize band saw to cut piping according to blueprint specifications
Provide materials throughout the shop
Utilize pneumatic tools such as grinders, air ratchet, and impact gun
Complete daily production logs
Perform daily housekeeping duties
Maintain attention to detail
Ability to lift 35+ lbs
Essential Skills
Attention to detail
Industrial manufacturing experience
Saw operation and material preparation experience
Experience with pneumatic tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to use a tape measure
General labor experience
Experience in sanding, production, and material prepping

Work Environment
This is a day shift position with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Steel-toe boots are required. The facility is split into two older buildings and can be loud, dirty, and hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will work within a specific department with a dedicated supervisor and team. The facility includes CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems. We are currently working on upgrading the facility to improve conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.10 - $19.10/hr.
