Our client, a leading organization in the scientific data sector, is seeking a Senior Scientific Data Analyst – Taxonomy Specialist to join their team. As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the data management team supporting various research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Scientific Data Analyst – Taxonomy Specialist

Location: REMOTE for residents of Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, California, Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA. (due to possible meetings)

Pay Range: $65hr-$84hr range

(NO C2C/Must be able to work a W2 without sponsorship)

What's the Job?

• Definition of schemas and data models of scientific information required for the creation of value-adding data products.

• Accountable for the quality control (through validation and verification) of mapping specifications to be industrialized by data engineering and maintained in platform provisioned tooling.

• Working with Product managers/engineers to confidently convert business needs into defined deliverable business requirements to enable the integration of large-scale biology data.

• Collaborate with external groups to align data standards with industry and academic ontologies.

• Support effective ingestion of data by understanding the entry requirements needed by platform engineering teams.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience in data analysis and schema definition.

• MUST have Taxonomy experience.

• Strong understanding of scientific data and its applications in research and development.

• Ability to communicate complex data requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

• Familiarity with data engineering standards and metadata requirements.
