Machine operators, also known as production operators, are responsible for operating machinery safely and efficiently in manufacturing plants to produce goods . Their duties include:

• Setting up and adjusting machines Before each production cycle, machine operators may set up machines and adjust settings like speed

• Maintaining machinery Machine operators perform routine maintenance and minor calibrations to ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently

• Inspecting machinery Machine operators check the functionality of safety features and perform inspections to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently

• Fixing machines Machine operators fix broken-down machines

• Following procedures Machine operators follow standard operating procedures, production instructions, and health and safety guidelines

• Solving problems Machine operators may troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process

• Maintaining quality Machine operators work to ensure the quality of the machine-produced outputs

• Keeping records Machine operators may create and manage records of approved and defective units or final products, as well as activity logs

Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
